An inordinate amount of my twitter stream this week seems to be about the TV adaptation of Birdsong, and specifically Eddie Redmayne giving ANGRY CUNNILINGUS to Fleur from off of Harry Potter. This week I finally upgraded my mobile to a smartphone that I can use Twitter from on the move. So obviously this'll change the nature of my tweets drastically: The same uninspiring comments, but now posted in a completely different way! Try to contain your excitement. If you follow my Twitter feed you'll know I often tweet celeb spots (because I go to the theatre a lot, and obviously actors are friends with a lot of other actors so are often in the audience to see them.) Last year one of my favourite shows was Now or Later, helped largely by a fantastic performance from Eddie Redmayne. Pair him up with Alfred Molina (you've seen him in loads of things even if you don't know the name; most high-profile would probably be as Doctor Octopus in Spider-Man 2) and you've got a bit of a dream cast for John Logan's new play ( Read more... )

Christopher Shinn's Now or Later has been getting glowing reviews, and an extended run, at the Royal Court. Highly topical, it takes place in about a month's time, at a hotel in America's South where the Democratic Presidential candidate (Matthew Marsh) is holed up as the results come in showing he's won.
